We are recruiting an experienced ADAS Operations Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Onsite
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze data coming in from development vehicles as well as vehicles in the field to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Lead the cross functional resolution of connected ADAS within the organization The engineer will support broader functional integrator objectives
- Program & supplier management
- Open issue tracking with proactive issue resolution
- Delivery to all vehicle program milestones and all aspects of cradle to grave functional integration activity, including:
- Authoring of specifications
- Sourcing documents
- Change management
- Requirements clarification and cross-functional team alignment
- Program development timelines
- Develop system level diagnostics
- Conduct HW/SW design reviews
- Author/review/approve FMEAs & DVPRs
- Launch support
- Safe-launch plan development
- Identify quality improvements
- Rapid response to warranty
- Technical cost reductions
- Documenting lessons learned, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited school
- 1-3 years of relevant automotive experience preferred, will consider recent college graduates
- Detail oriented, results driven
- Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team with minimal oversight/direction
- Logical thinker who can systematically sort through complex issues in pursuit of a resolution
- Excellent organizational skills
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with organizing and presenting large data sets
- Functional use of internal systems (CN, GIMS, CCD, EBOM, WIS, etc.)
- Experience with Controller Area Network (CAN)
- Familiar with CAN/Ethernet communication protocols and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with Vector CAN tools (CANalyzer or CANoe)
- Experience with CDA Diagnostic Application tool
- Experience in root cause and DFSS techniques (is-is not, 5-why, DMAIC, 8D, 5-penny, fishbone/fault-tree analysis
