Job Description

Our industry leading manufacturing client is recruiting an Information Communication Technology (ICT) Manager to join their team

NOTE:
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA and southern Ontario, without restrictions, effective on the start date
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As the primary ICT point of contact for manufacturing coordinate all plant related ICT activities including management of ICT staff
  • Manage critical ICT initiatives and system administration for all facilities through implementation of emerging technologies and management of global contracts and partnerships
  • Lead the team providing technical support to employees in partnership with stakeholders across our lines of business
  • Minimize lost production due to ICT-related issues while providing infrastructure and process support that are critical to meeting the objectives of manufacturing
  • Work with internal business units to identify and prioritize technology needs and opportunities
  • Oversee the achievement of departmental goals and opportunities, ensuring efficient operations of the quality service
  • Ensure seamless integration of software and technology, to meet business needs, and ensure projects with technology components are delivered on time
  • Ensure ITC services stay within developed budget constraints, managing budget and expenses
  • Design IT training for employees on software and hardware usage, troubleshoot issues, and offer technical support as needed as a part of overall employee onboarding
  • Develop strategic opportunities for advanced ITC partnerships across the organization including but not limited to: cybersecurity, audit requirements, disaster recovery plans, software/ hardware implementation
  • Lead disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and security protocols to ensure systems and data integrity
  • Act as a key decision-maker for major ICT investments, including hardware, software, and services, ensuring optimal returns on investment

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in ICT leadership or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience coaching and mentoring the development of ITC Teams
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale ICT operations, infrastructure, and teams within a complex environment
  • Strong technical expertise across a broad range of ICT systems, including ERP/MRP, cloud computing, data management, networking, and cybersecurity
  • Deep knowledge of programming languages and operating systems current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring
  • Experience in developing and executing ICT strategies that align with business goals and drive measurable outcomes
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering successful ICT projects on time and within budget
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges and deliver effective solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of ICT industry best practices, standards, and emerging technologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Budget management experience, with the ability to optimize resources and manage costs effectively
