We are recruiting an experienced Senior Product Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Remote
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Suspension component and system design, development, and engineering release for production vehicles
- Development of vehicle-level functional objectives and work to establish, and achieve, the corresponding component-level functional objectives
- Responsible for the components/system from initial concept to kinematic/compliance modelling, to structural analysis, to validation, through component and vehicle launch
- Responsibilities include component design (FMEA), analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), development, component validation (DVP&R, change management (CN), engineering bill of material (EBOM/CODEP), build support, issue management (GIMS), fastened joint design, and assembly torque development
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of chassis engineering design and development experience
- Demonstrated passion for working in the automotive industry
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Science Degree in Engineering
- 5 years of suspension design, development, and validation experience
- Experience with problem-solving such as Red-X
- Experience with robust design such as DFSS
- Ability in NX/Teamcenter
- Experience with release systems
