We are recruiting an experienced Design Release Engineer (Body Closures) to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Hybrid
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engineering, design, development, timing and validation of side door sheet metal assemblies
- Packaging all the directed components along with analyzing the design to ensure it meets requirements
- Work with the extended vehicle team for production implementation
- Execute component standardization and reuse, DVP, best practices and lessons learned and will maintain functional objectives, DFMEA's, DVPR's and standards, and competitive benchmarking
- Support launch and product validation activities with frequent visits to the assembly plant, labs, and supplier facilities
- Self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s degree is an asset
- 3-5 Years experience in Body in White and/or closures Engineering Experience
- 3+ Years experience with Team Center and Siemens NX
- Proficient in MS-Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T
- Strong Engineering Design Project Presentation Skills
