We are seeking an experienced Logistics/Inventory Coordinator with a background in construction. If you take pride in your work and ownership of your responsibilities, have a dedication to accuracy and want to grow this is the opportunity for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all inventory, including on-site and off-site inventory, at a construction supply company.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory at all times
- Track inventory assigned to jobs; work with Area Manager to ensure inventory is available for outgoing jobs
- Work with yard supervisors to ensure inventory is properly loaded and unloaded per customer requirements
- Work with Area Manager to track projects (equipment and labour) from initiation to completion
- Monitor job progress through hours tracking, reviewing hours and inventory used to job quotes and purchase orders to ensure jobs stay on budget
- Work with Area Manager to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment
- Work with external customers, as required, to develop customer needs (equipment and manpower) and issue quotations
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of inventory/logistics experience. Preference given to candidates with construction industry experience in invoicing/billing
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, willing to support all areas of the company if needed. Take pride in the quality of your work
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; demonstrated experience working with customers (internal or external)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Experience in inside sales and customer relationships an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlook ups, formula's)
