We are recruiting an experienced KBE Parametric Surface Feasibility Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creation of parametric KBE templates, the rapid development of Class A feasibility proposals
- Creation of linked production-feasible inputs for vehicle-level associative parametrically designed components
- Developing feasible product designs that meet styling intent, working daily with Styling & Studio Engineering, while using the latest in parametric design engineering tools
- Achieve styling requirements while assuring engineering feasibility and meeting quality standards.
- Develop and apply associative parametric templates in CATIA V5 and/or NX, to develop and analyze CAD geometry
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 + years of Automotive Engineering experience in Body Exterior & BIW
- 3 + years of Parametric Surface Modeling
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering (BSME, BSAE, BSEE) from an accredited university
- Must have a passion for automobiles and for the automotive industry
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, always in pursuit of the most efficient product and process
- Parametric Design and Class A surface experience in CATIA V5, V6, or NX
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Vehicle and Occupant Packaging methods and requirements
- Previous Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) experience highly desirable
- Vehicle assembly process knowledge and system and component tooling and process experience
- Knowledgeable in the use of Team Center
- Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
