Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Engineering Draftsperson to support our client.

NOTE:

  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Select proper motors, reducers, and other components and create BOM for assemblies
  • Prepare and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation. Perform inspection functions and maintain ECN logs and files
  • Create layout designs and details for pump packages using CAD
  • Maintain orderly drawing libraries
  • Create assemblies bill of material
  • Coordinate/prepare documentation for Engineered orders/projects
  • Maintain ECN logs and files
  • Item master creation in the production system
  • Manage Quality Control related tasks
  • Act as a contributing member of the EH&S Team
  • RMA warranty inspections
  • Scheduling and reporting pump repair
  • Perform inspection functions for incoming goods and outgoing assemblies
  • Assist with the implementation of Engineering process improvements
  • Work with Application and Sales Teams to select/create pump arrangements
  • Work with Customer Service Teams to identify/clarify order requirements
  • Work with Purchasing Team on product and vendor related information
  • Assist Production with the efficient assembly of pump packages and
  • Support Plant Operations
  • Communicate with branch office personnel on engineering-related customer requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 2 years of pump design experience is a must
  • Working knowledge of 3D solid modelling and 2D detailing/drafting required
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Ability to check drawings and technical documentation for errors and maintain accurate records
  • Must have good organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills required
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required. SolidWorks 3D modeling would be an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning software, JD Edwards preferred
