We are currently recruiting an experienced Body in White (BIW) / Closures CAD Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry!
NOTE:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating CAD (NX/Catia) parametric math models for commodities using Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) template modelling techniques
- Dictating architecture and construction techniques
- Creating master development/packaging/requirement sections
- Defining master template modelling structures
- Training other Catia/NX engineers on modelling techniques, architecture
- Developing / Packaging / Synthesizing complex vehicle systems
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of Catia/NX modeling
- 2+ Years of CAD modelling with Siemens NX
- 2+ Years of Robust Modeling with Siemens NX
- 2+ Years of Parametric CAD Modeling with Siemens NX
- 2+ Years of Body in White (Automotive) Engineering Experience
- Strong English Speaking skills
- Strong Engineering Design Project Presentation skills
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ Years of Body in White and/or Closures CAD Engineering experience
- 5+ years of body experience
- 5+ Years of CAD Parametric Modeling with Siemens NX
- Product launch experience and/or assembly plant experience
- Engineering change management experience
- Stamping and component assembly knowledge
- Dimensional control understanding - GD&T, part-to-part variation/clearance, etc.
- Relevant materials engineering knowledge
- Automotive OEM and/or Tier 1/2 supplier experience
