4th year University of Windsor students in the Mechanical Engineering program are divided into teams to compete and build a small-scale race car for credit and the opportunity if they win locally to travel to an International Competition.

Provides civil engineering students an opportunity to gain practical experience by working with concrete mix and body designs to build a canoe that is part of a competition at the end of the year.

MEDA Limited Scholarship
Awarded annually to two (2) 2nd year students from an Engineering program (1 male, 1 female) on the basis of an academic merit of a B average, and an overall good student. Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident, and show financial need.
University of Windsor - MEDA Limited - The Mel Lawn Memorial Scholarship
Awarded annually to a full-time graduate Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering on the basis of academic merit (minimum cumulative average of 75%) and written submission; with a focus on individuals exhibiting a passion for engineering. Preference will be given to students having a record of community service in the past two years.
Must be Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident, and show financial need.
University of Windsor - MEDA Limited - The Carol Lawn Scholarship
Awarded annually to an undergraduate or graduate student with a disability who is registered with the Student Disability Services Office. Based on academic merit (minimum cumulative average of 75% is required), community involvement, and financial need. Applicants must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents (includes those with Protected Persons status), who meet Ontario residency requirements, and demonstrate financial need.

Our employees raise money throughout the year with our ‘Jean Friday’ program and various other office events. MEDA matches the employee contributions dollar for dollar with 100% of the money donated to the Windsor Downtown Mission.
